Comments from voters

I have actually seen this sculpture and spent quite a while in front of it, thinking about the times it represents. And wishing for a cuppa there and then.

Saskia Wesnigk (24/11/2009)

A brilliant concept - I would love to hear the tape recording and share the memories of the creators of this piece of work.    Congratulations to all involved.

Patrick Horn (23/11/2009)

What a wonderful idea - very creative, and clearly an entry that you really have to see 'in person' to fully appreciate.  But I love the concept and would really like to have a proper look at it.

Rebecca Horn (22/11/2009)

Inspiring, and I bet the older people enjoyed contributing to it.

Marilyn Downs (22/11/2009)

This one is cool - a multimedia contemporary art piece where people have worked together to share their memories around food! The screen pic doesn't do it justice. It looks haphazard but gets my vote for it's interesting flavour.

Ben Thomson (19/11/2009)

This is a wonderful example of memories that have been captured. Very creative

Deborah Fair (19/11/2009)

This installation is made by members of a history group in Coldean, Brighton. All the members are in their 80s. It is an interactive tea service with memory- based table cloth and personalised cups, saucers, plates and cake-stands with images fired onto them, and sayings about food memories. There is a tape-recording to accompany it, with participants recalling their memories of food in years past.

Margaret Millington (19/11/2009)

Great display. Do you have any more information about it?

creative landscapes (17/11/2009)

Beautiful installation. I would love to see it!

Mar Sol (17/11/2009)

I suspect this is a very interesting display. A collaboration between lots of older people representing their memories in a tea-table setting? Look forward to seeing it in the exhibition. Very creative.
