Comments from the 2009 EAC People's Choice Award

A beautifil picture. It should be higher up the voting!

Joan Bailey (27/11/2009)

I love this picture.   The threatening sky, the solidity of the building, the stillness of the water above the 'damn' and water wheel, the harnessing of the power of the water, and the chaos and  the turbulence of the water further down the stream.   So well done.;

Patrick Horn (23/11/2009)

The artist has really managed to convey the contrast between the still water about the weir and the rushing movement below.  The overcast sky and the water contrast well with the warmth of the old mill.

Rebecca Horn (22/11/2009)

This reminds me of a recent TV programme where architects were trying to design a bridge over this weir. Lovely comparison of terrific power in the water yet  glassy stillness behind the weir.
