Comments from the 2009 EAC People's Choice Award

This truly captures a sense of solitude in the City.  You can almost feel the chill of the walls, and see  your own breath in the air.  It exudes a great sense of belonging.

nicole touye (29/11/2009)

Brilliant - the contrast between the hardness and sharpness of the foreground with the softness of the distance is amazing.   How the sharpness leads to the softness is brilliantly done.

Patrick Horn (23/11/2009)

So evocative - the soft colours and straight, hard lines provide a great contrast.  Dreamy.

Rebecca Horn (22/11/2009)

hmm theres lots i want to say about this picture but cant find the right words,.....  all good!  ill try, warmth depth, detail u can really sence the cold air warm sun, very good.

mary finch (18/11/2009)

The cold, hard flagstones juxtapositioned with diluted sunlight is depicted here to galvanising effect. Good use of watercolour has produced an engaging and distinct atmosphere.

Tim Cook (12/11/2009)

What a gorgeous light! Beautiful watercolour!
