Comments from the 2009 EAC People's Choice Award

Nice use of light and shadow - good perspective! The people are nicely realistic especially the one in motion!

Bradford Stephenson (01/12/2009)

Superb - could be anywhere.   I loved the 'just rained' quality of light and the effect on the cobbles.

Patrick Horn (23/11/2009)

A marvellous portrayal of the partially sun-lit narrow cobbled lanes of that part of London. The associated shadows and dark, unlit doorways and recesses as well as the depiction of the variation in highlights are cleverly done.

Raymond Oughton (23/11/2009)

This is a lovely picture - clear lines and soft colours, it gives an ordinary street a very special quality.

Rebecca Horn (22/11/2009)

I love this part of London. Well done Fred. I think you evoke the feeling of it really well.

Louise Mather (18/11/2009)

Very good attention to the light and shadows of those narrow streets along the Thames.

John Blakeley (14/11/2009)
