Ethereal and yet depicts a towering substantial addition to London skyline. Captures the hubris that wafts around the City of London - the grit and sturdiness and allusions to power but yet portrays the fragility and fleetingness of man's time here and grip on life and the earth. great picture; it is great to capture the development of a building and the changing skyline prior to completion, I saw the same thing in the SAGE in Gateshead- the building was most fascinating when the shell was complete and the building was half covered in it's glass skin, once buildings are covered in glass they look nice but you lose the sense of intrigue that you get when they are being built.....

I've been watching this building grow from my lounge window over the last few months.  I think this image captures something of the building site rather than the glossy image it is to become.
