This is the sort of painting that you would never tire of looking at....always something new to observe. well done.

JEAN REDFEARN (05/05/2011)

This really is a superb painting. I would like to see more of his work.

John Lilley (05/05/2011)

What a superb picture.   It would make a fantastic Christmas Card - genuine rather than 'picture box'.   Congratulations

Patrick Horn (02/05/2011)

Love the depth and texture and am feeling the need to wrap up!  Lovely job

Kate Harlow (02/05/2011)

Hi Jack , we met briefly at the show in London around the middle of last year, and you did strike me then to have a more than natural flair with this type of art. Having studied all the finalist's work this in my opinion is without doubt the most eyecatching, and I think has a certain james whistler style. You can almost feel the chill emitting from the work, also the more I study this piece the more I see its charming secrecy and all its glorious depth's. well done jack very well done indeed.

pete bell (01/05/2011)

It is gloriously sunny today as I look at this picture.  But the chill factor transmitted in the scene is astonishing.   Very effective melding of blue and white is contrasted by the touch of colour in the figures and in the lit window behind the low roof line.  Cleverly done trees (and they can be very difficult).   Winter well captured!

Roger Graham (30/04/2011)

Seen this before Jack and still like it. There are only two I could possibly vote for this year and this is one.

Peter Hudson (20/04/2011)

This image haves meaning and i can see you put cold colours it repersentsa cold or a bad felling

brandon bermudez (31/03/2011)

Wow, tremendous! All the feeling of being bitterly cold is in this picture. The sky and trees are superbly painted.
