How The People’s Choice Award works

Images of the 121 finalists’ artworks have been uploaded onto the website, and you may choose just to browse the online gallery, or you may choose also to vote for your favourite three entries. Prices indicated on artists’ pages may change before the exhibition. No sales will take place before the exhibition is in place.

Anyone can vote for their three favourite works of art. You do not have to be over 60 to vote.

To vote, you first have to register with your email and a password. You will then receive a verification email with a link that allows you back into the site, but this time with three rosettes available. (just occasionally verification emails can land in your junk mail box.) You can allocate a 1st , 2nd  and 3rd rosette to your 3 favourite artworks. You can change your mind at any time and deselect, and your rosette, which had been greyed-out, will become available to you again. A 1st rosette carries 3 points, a 2nd, 2 points and a 3rd, 1 point.

If you revisit the online gallery, you do not need to register again. Just log-in (remembering to select the button to login rather than register) with your email address and password.

The winning artist, calculated by the overall number of points awarded over the seven weeks that the EAC People’s Choice Award Gallery is live, will receive the EAC People's Choice Award at the prize-giving ceremony at the RBSA on 14th May.

You may comment on as many works as you wish. Artists are delighted to receive constructive criticism and positive comments, particularly from other artists. Please note all comments are moderated before being posted on the artists’ page.

NB, two artists whose works are very small; Rita Greengrass and Sidney Chandler, had two works each selected, to be exhibited, in each case, as a pair. Please vote for one or other of either person’s works, not both.
