EAC People’s Choice Award 2009

The EAC People’s Choice Award has been a new venture for EAC Art Awards. The images of the 101 finalists’ works were uploaded onto the Art Awards website after the first round of judging in early November and members of the public were invited to vote for their three favourite works. In all, in just over three weeks, 3550 votes were cast, and 935 comments submitted.

At 9pm on Monday 30th November, voting closed after a very tight contest for first place, but the clear winner was Mr Gordon Morley with his picture ‘Downham Village, Lancashire’. We offer him our congratulations, the first ever EAC People’s Choice Award winner!
